Costa del Sol/Arroyo de la Miel

Arroyo de la Miel, whose name means "valley of honey" is the populated area between the mountains and the coast in the region of Benalmadena.

This is where most of the area's population and businesses are located and it has a wide range of attractions including a sports complex, bilingual library and the world famous theme park Tivoli World.

It is also home to the mountain cable car which offers incredible views of the coast ... if you have the stomach for it!

Arroyo offers a wide selection of cafe bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and a health clinic. Living and working from the town is easy as it is situated only 15 minutes by train from Malaga International Airport or a 10 minute journey by taxi. The train from here runs from Malaga centre to Fuengirola via the airport. It stops at Arroyo on the hour and half hour. Fuengirola is just 7 minutes away and Torremolinos only 5 minutes away by train. There is also a regular bus service to Benalmadena Pueblo, Mijas, Fuengirola, Malaga and Marbella.

As a result of the ever expanding international population and large business community, Arroyo de la Miel has become a popular choice for those considering starting a business.

Plus the neighbourly atmosphere and local īfeelī of the town would suit those who would prefer to be a little distance away from the more obvious tourist areas.

Tivoli World

Tivoli World is arguably the coastīs best theme park. Tivoli World is open every weekend during the winter and daily the rest of the year, hosting live music and dance, concerts and a multitude of exciting children and adult?s rides including a rollercoaster to rival all others!

There is also a 3500 seat theatre which features a variety of events throughout the year as well as a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars and on Sunday mornings there is a flea market.

Tivioli world is in walking distance of Arroya de la Miel train station and there are of course regular Taxis.
